Laser cut from FSC certified bamboo and sanded by hand for a smooth finish.
Shed Sticks are used to open the shed of the warp, making it easy to slip your needle or shuttle straight through the warp without having to pick over and under each of the warps manually. It will only work one way, for instance, you can use the shed stick to open the warps when you run your needle from left to right but you will have to manually weave going from right to left.
These Shed Sticks work with a single or double warp style.
Small - 39cm long (15")
Large - 59cm (23")
The small size works perfectly with The Lil Sista Loom, portrait or landscape / The Beginner Loom or any other loom which has a weaving area of 35cm (14") or smaller.
The large size works perfectly with the Big Mama Loom, portrait or landscape weaving or any other loom which has a weaving area of 55cm (21.5") or smaller.
How to use:
Use the pointed end of the shed stick to weave over and under each warp thread on the loom.
Rotate the shed stick so it opens up the shed of the warps. You can slide the shed stick to the bottom or top of the loom (at the top if you are working your weaving from the bottom to the top or at the bottom if you are working your weaving from the top to the bottom)
Run your weaving needle or shuttle straight through the warps.
Rotate the shed stick again to close the shed.
Manually pick your needle or shuttle for the next row.
Rotate the shed stick again to open the shed. Continue these steps to complete your weaving.
