Weaving Workshop - Rigid Heddle Table Runner - 29th of September

$130.00

After the success of my recent Woven Scarf Workshops, I'm introducing a new Rigid Heddle Weaving Workshop where you can weave your own decorative table runner. A perfect workshop for anyone with any skill level!

Where & When:

The Fernery - 84 Fern Street, Islington
Saturday 29th of September 2018 10:00am - 2:00pm

What you’ll learn:

Come along to a fun weaving workshop where you will make your own hand woven, decorative table runner! In this workshop you will choose your colours from a selection of specialty yarns, with a colour palette to suit everyone; learn how to warp a rigid heddle loom; learn different weaving techniques to create a unique fabric; learn how to care for your finished woven piece.

What’s included:

- A 3 hour workshop taught by Rainie of The Unusual Pear

- A beautiful selection of carefully selected yarns to create your woven table runner. Fibres including cotton, wool, linen and silk.

- Afternoon tea and light refreshments

- Your completed woven table runner to take home with you

- An instruction sheet. With the skills you will learn, you will be able to continue weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom if you have one or would like to purchase one!

Want to keep weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom after the workshop?

You sure can! You can purchase the Ashford Rigid Heddle SampleIt loom here and it'll be yours to keep at the end of the workshop. To void the shipping costs, use the code WORKSHOP at the checkout. Bonus, I've already assembled the loom for you and it also comes with the original box and all accessories including 2 x beech weaving shuttles (retail price $175).

After a different Ashford loom? Just let me know which one you would like and I'll order it for you to take home at the workshop (we will all be weaving on the 25cm SampleIt loom).

Reviews from some lovelies who have attended a rigid heddle weaving workshop

I had a blast at this super fun workshop, taught by the lovely Rainie - who is unbelievably warm, patient and eager to help. The venue was really cute and sunny, and it was lovely to be able to mingle with others while weaving and snacking ;) It was so relaxing and totally worth the drive up from Sydney!! - Barah
